To lead students in secondary schools and colleges in Kenya to come to a personal knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, mature in Him and equip them for effective service, & mobilize and empower Christian workers for effective service among the students.

KSCF WEEK

  KSCF WEEK CONCEPT OVERVIEW

 Kenya Students Christian Fellowship (KSCF) is a National Student Movement established in 1958 and registered by the Registrar of Societies. It has endeavored giving opportunities to the students and associates to discover and be established in ministries. KSCF week is a period set aside for students and associates to engage in practical activities that will create awareness to students, teachers and Churches of impact of KSCF in building Character & morals in schools, Church and society on annual basis and also fundraise to support the fellowships activities and programs. It is an activity that is carried out within the school and their neighborhood (markets, churches, villages) FOCUS OF THE KSCF WEEK The fellowship has scheduled to run the KSCF Week between 21st and 28th May, 2017.it gives opportunity to students, Christian teachers and associates to: 1. Provide servant leadership through acts of mercy and service to the school and the community, role model through exampleship. 2. Conduct small group student led bible study and train others on the same skill using the materials (BS Guide) provided by the fellowship. 3. Witness Christ to the fellow students, teachers, support staff and the neighborhood. Developing a pool of disciples for Christ. 4. Develop spiritual disciples like of prayer and fasting, fellowship. 5. Deliberate and create awareness of the negative emerging issues, advising their peers how to overcome. This year the major issues discussed being the influence of media. 6. Participate in social responsibility i.e. planting of trees, cleaning of their environment taking care of the needy students, widow & the old in the neighborhood. 7. Create awareness to other student stakeholders: Ministry of Education (MOEST), Teachers Service Commission (TSC), Churches, Like minded Organizations (NCCK etc.) of the impact of the KSCF ministry and their role in character formation among high school students and the society. 8. Raising financial support to finance the local and national administration of the ministry. EXPECTED OUTPUT 1. The students will run the various activities as outlined in the attached schedule during the week within the schools. They will also gather in rallies at the end of the week collecting their contributions. 2. The Christian Teachers and associates will visit the stake holders of the student ministry as outlined above in no. 7 to share with them of the progress of the ministry and mobilize support. All the funds raised will go in aid of the publication of Peer to Peer (P2P) training manuals. Peer to Peer Model of ministry is a comprehensive training and equipping model with the aim of empowering Christian students to holistically transform and positively influence their peers in school and society. It focuses on Bible Study, Evangelism & Discipleship, Leadership Development & Civic Education and lastly Peer Counseling. Collections can be deposited in any of the below accounts: 1.
